Any changes or updates will be effective immediately upon posting to the Turtle Wax site. We may share statistical or aggregated non-personal data about our users with advertisers, business partners, sponsors and other third parties. This data is used to customize Turtle Wax website content and advertising to deliver a better experience to our users.
6. DATA COLLECTION TECHNOLOGY
We use cookies, pixel tabs (also known as web beacons, flash cookies and clear GIFs) and similar technology (“Data Collection Technology”) to automatically collect information (including Other Information) about you when you use the website. Turtle Wax generally does not treat Other Information as personal data unless required by applicable law. Data Collection Technology collects all sorts of information, such as how long you spend on various webpages in the website, which webpages you view, your search queries, error and performance reports, as well as device identifier or IP address, browser type, time zone and language settings and operating system.
Data Collection Technology deployed through the website includes cookies and web beacons.
Web Beacons: A web beacon (also called a pixel tag or clear GIF) is computer code that communicates information from your device to a server. Some of Turtle Wax’s content and emails may contain embedded web beacons that allow a server to read certain types of information from your device, allow us to count the number of people who have viewed content, to know when you opened an email message and the IP address of your device. Web beacons help Turtle Wax develop statistical information to provide better and more personalized content.
Cookies: Cookies are small text files that are sent to or accessed from your web browser or your computer’s hard drive. A cookie typically contains the name of the domain (internet location) from which the cookie originated, the “lifetime” of the cookie (i.e., when it expires) and a randomly generated unique number or similar identifier. A cookie also may contain information about your computer, such as user settings, browsing history and activities conducted while using the website.
The website uses the following cookies:
• Strictly necessary cookies, which are required for the operation of the website. Without them, for example, you would not be able to register or log in for the website that Turtle Wax offers.
• Analytical/performance cookies, which allow Turtle Wax to recognize and count the number of visitors, learn how visitors navigate the website and improve the website.
• Functionality cookies, which Turtle Wax uses to recognize you when you return to the website.
To learn more about cookies and web beacons, visit www.allaboutcookies.org.
Turtle Wax also uses analytics services, such as Google Analytics and Facebook Pixels, to collect Other Information. Generally, analytics services do not identify individual users. Many analytics services allow you to opt out of data collection. For example, to learn more about Google Analytics practices and to opt out, visit www.google.com/settings/ads or by downloading the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
How Turtle Wax Uses Data Collection Technology: Some Data Collection Technology is deployed by Turtle Wax when you visit the website. Other Data Collection Technology is deployed by third parties with which Turtle Wax partners to deliver the website.
Data Collection Technology helps us improve your experience of the website by, measuring the success of marketing campaigns, compiling statistics about use of the website and helping us analyze technical and navigational information about the website.
We also may use Data Collection Technology to collect information from the device that you use to access the website, such as your operating system type, browser type, domain and other system settings, as well as the language your system uses and the country and time zone in which your computer or device is located.
Your Control of Cookies: Some web browsers (including some mobile web browsers) provide settings that allow you to control or reject cookies or to alert you when a cookie is placed on your device. Although you are not required to accept cookies or mobile device identifiers, if you block or reject them, you may not have access to all features available through the website.
Do Not Track: Some web browsers (including Safari, Internet Explorer, Firefox and Chrome) incorporate a “Do Not Track” (“DNT”) or similar feature that signals to websites that a user does not want to have his or her online activity and behavior tracked. If a website that responds to a particular DNT signal receives the DNT signal, the browser can block that website from collecting certain information about the browser’s user. Not all browsers offer a DNT option and DNT signals are not yet uniform. For this reason, many website operators, including Turtle Wax, do not respond to DNT signals.

10. THE GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATION (“GDPR”)
If you reside within the European Union you may be entitled to other rights under the GDPR. These rights are summarized below. We may require you to verify your identity before we respond to your requests to exercise your rights. If you are entitled to these rights, you may exercise these rights with respect to your personal data that we collect and store:
• Request access to your personal data (commonly known as a “data subject access request”). This enables you to receive a copy of the personal data we hold about you and to check that we are lawfully processing it.
• Request correction of the personal data that we hold about you. This enables you to have any incomplete or inaccurate information we hold about you corrected, though we may need to verify the accuracy of the new information you provide to us.
• Request erasure of your personal data. This enables you to ask us to delete or remove personal data where there is no good reason for us continuing to process it. You also have the right to ask us to delete or remove your personal data where you have successfully exercised your right to object to processing (see below), where we may have processed your information unlawfully or where we are required to erase your personal data to comply with local law. Note, however, that we may not always be able to comply with your request of erasure for specific legal reasons which will be notified to you, if applicable, at the time of your request.
• Object to processing of your personal data where we are relying on a legitimate interest (or those of a third party) and there is something about your particular situation which makes you want to object to processing on this ground as you feel it impacts on your fundamental rights and freedoms. You also have the right to object where we are processing your personal data for direct marketing purposes. In some cases, we may demonstrate that we have compelling legitimate grounds to process your information which override your rights and freedoms.
• Request restriction of processing of your personal data. • Request the transfer of your personal data to you or to a third party. We will provide to you, or a third party you have chosen, your personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format. Note that this right only applies to automated information which you initially provided consent for us to use or where we used the information to perform a contract with you.
• Withdraw consent at any time where we are relying on consent to process your personal data. However, this will not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before you withdraw your consent. If you withdraw your consent, we may not be able to provide certain products or services to you. We will advise you if this is the case at the time you withdraw your consent.
If you wish to exercise any of the rights set out above, please contact us at dpo@turtlewax.com.

What We May Need from You
We may need to request specific information from you to help us confirm your identity and ensure your right to access your personal data (or to exercise any of your other rights). This is a security measure to ensure that personal data is not disclosed to any person who has no right to receive it. We may also contact you to ask you for further information in relation to your request to speed up our response.
Time Limited to Respond

Whenever we transfer your personal data out of the EEA, we do so in compliance with our obligations regarding lawful data transfer pursuant to the GDPR.
